Traditional analytics, while excellent for showing linear flows through customer journeys or business processes, often fall short of making data actionable. According to Forrester, 54% of marketing analytics professionals are challenged by managing and integrating data from a variety of sources, while 38% can’t interpret results from analytics. Though gamification first emerged to help address engagement on the front end of websites and applications, it has also yielded a plethora of behavior data that helps companies design better user experiences. Behavior Analytics go a level deeper than the static, anonymous metrics typical of traditional web analytics; they provide a granular window into what users actually do.
